Tanner Morgan Making A Push For QB3

Prior to yesterday's training camp session, undrafted rookie Tanner Morgan received little attention.

The highly accomplished rookie out of the University of Minnesota received few repetitions at quarterback during team drills, leaving many to assume that his time with the Steelers could be short.

With veteran Mason Rudolph given the day off, Morgan used it as an opportunity to show what he could do, and he delivered in a big way. He registered completions in various drills for different receivers, showing off his arm strength in the process.

Undrafted rookie Dan Chisena would be the main beneficiary of Morgan's throws, which included a deep ball touchdown reception during 7-on-7s, which received a big applause from the fans in attendance.

So far, Rudolph's performance in camp has done little to distance himself from the possibility of him being unseated as QB3 on the team's roster. With their first preseason game set for this Friday, this could be the stage Morgan needs to make a big impression on head coach Mike Tomlin.

During his college career with the Golden Gophers, Morgan blossomed into one of the most accomplished quarterback in program history with 33 career wins, 9,454 passing yards, and 65 touchdowns.
