Georgia's Jalen Carter Falls To Steelers In Mock Draft
In the wake of new evidence surrounding Georgia Bulldogs' defensive lineman Jalen Carter, NFL analyst Chris Trapasso's of CBS Sports, has him falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers in his latest mock draft.
Here is Trapasso's rationale for this move:
"The Steelers stop the Carter fall and feel they have the right coaching structure and locker room to handle everything that will come with making this selection."
Earlier today, an arrest warrant was issued for Carter in conjunction with his involvement in the car crash that took the lives of Georgia staff member Chandler Louise LeCroy and football player Devin Alex Willock on January 15th, 2023. New evidence revealed both LeCroy and Carter were speed racing at the time of the crash. Carter had originally denied any involvement in the fatal incident.
Carter this past season earned first-team All-SEC and unanimous All-American status and was projected by several draft analysts as a potential top-ten pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. With the investigation into this incident still ongoing, his football future is currently in doubt.
