Steelers Find Their New "Troy" With the 20th Overall Pick

When many expected the Pittsburgh Steelers to move up or down, they instead stood pat and got the offensive lineman they wanted.

With tempting options like Graham Barton and Brian Thomas Jr. still on the board, the Steelers took arguably the most versatile lineman in the draft in Washington's Troy Fautanu with the 20th overall pick.

Fautanu was one of three draft prospects who hit the team's pre-draft trifecta. With Fautanu, the Steelers get a highly accomplished player who was named All-Pac-12 First Team and All-America Third Team. In the past two seasons, Fautanu has surrendered only two sacks on 1,161 pass-blocking snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

In all likelihood, the addition of Fautanu should allow last year's first-round pick, Broderick Jones, to return to his natural position at left tackle.
