The energy was electric. We are officially back!

Today's training camp storylines include a defensive comeback, a veteran quarterback having a rough day, and a rookie quarterback getting a lot of love.

So, Steelers fans, let's go!

Injury Report

Tight end Jonnu Smith returned to action after being sidelined with an undisclosed injury. According to reports, he took part in both individual and team drills. The same couldn’t be said for running back Cordarrelle Patterson, who missed practice for the third consecutive day.

According to Chatsport’s Jack Sperry, linebacker T.J. Watt, defensive tackle Cam Heyward, and cornerback Darius Slay were all given the day off.

Day 3 Camp Notes -

Steelers Hall Of Honor Class of 2025

Before today's session, the Steelers announced their 2025 Hall of Honor class, featuring three legendary figures who helped define the franchise throughout the 2000s and 2010s: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, linebacker Joey Porter Sr., and center Maurkice Pouncey.

Defense Comes Back To Win "Seven Shots"

The offense jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to tight end Darnell Washington. But the defense mounted a comeback and ultimately took today's edition of "Seven Shots" by a score of 4-3. Fittingly, it was rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon who sealed the win, bringing the session to a dramatic close.

Rough Day For Rodgers

Aside from the two touchdowns he threw during "Seven Shots," he struggled with accuracy throughout team sessions. In the first segment, he failed to complete any of his passes. In the second, he overthrew receiver D.K. Metcalf before finally connecting on a pass later in the session. To cap things off, he recorded an interception—this time during 7-on-7 drills. Overall, it was a day to forget, and one he’ll hope to bounce back from quickly.

Trice Jr. Continues His Hot Streak

During 11-on-11 team sessions, cornerback Cory Trice Jr. recorded a pass breakup against Aaron Rodgers—bringing his total to three pass breakups since the start of training camp.

Howard's A Crowd Favorite

One could argue that rookie quarterback Will Howard is the Steelers' most popular player at training camp. According to reports, he received an ovation each time he touched the ball.

Sawyer's Stock Rises

In the absence of key defenders, rookie linebacker Jack Sawyer seized the opportunity to make his mark, contributing several standout plays during team sessions.
