Steelers Representatives In Attendance To Watch Notre Dame vs USC

The Steelers may be on bye this week, but their scout team has been busy touring the college circuits.

In addition to making an appearance at yesterday's TCU vs. BYU contest, beat writer Jack Soble of BlueandGold.com and On3 Sports confirmed that they were one of 10 teams who were in attendance for the Notre Dame vs. USC contest. One in which the Fighting Irish thoroughly embarrassed the Trojans by a score of 48-20.

Per reports, the reason for their attendance was to view star quarterback Caleb Williams, the one projected to become the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Williams picked the wrong time to have his worst performance of his collegiate career.

Yet, USC has plenty of talent, which could pique the Steelers interest. One such name is All-American safety Calen Bullock, who brings plenty of size at 6'3 and ball skills. On offense, the team could look at a receiver like Dorian Singer, who registered 1,105 and six touchdowns last season with Arizona. This season, Singer has registered a modest number but is still an inside-outside threat.

Another name to consider is All-American right tackle Joe Alt of the Fighting Irish. With needs at the offensive line, the team may look to upgrade the spot currently occupied by veteran Chukwuma Okorafor. His teammate, Blake Fisher, should not be overlooked as a viable prospect.
