Steelers Met With Hula Bowl Offensive Standout

With the offseason in full swing, the Pittsburgh Steelers are out on the scouting circuit.

Yesterday, analyst Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network confirmed that the Steelers were among several NFL teams that met with team Aina Hula Bowl Offensive MVP Blake Watson out of Memphis.

At 5'9, 195 pounds, Watson was one of the most versatile backs in the nation this past college football season. He finished the 2023 season with 1,632 total yards and 17 touchdowns, earning first-team All-AAC honors for his performance.

Watson will be a busy person this offseason as he is set to play in this year's Shrine Bowl in February, and could potentially earn an invite to this year's NFL Combine if all goes well.

The Steelers already have a strong backfield duo in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Yet, with the likelihood of them moving on from Anthony McFarland Jr. this off-season, they could choose to add to their depth with the addition of Watson in this year's draft.
