Another year, another rookie minicamp in the books. Here are a few key takeaways from this weekend’s practices.
According to multiple sources, first‑round pick Max Iheanachor confirmed he will be lining up on the right side of the offensive line.
Third‑round selection Gennings Dunker is officially set to play at guard.
Much of the spotlight, however, centered on third‑round quarterback Drew Allar and the footwork drills he ran throughout the weekend. Penn Now’s Nick Farabaugh posted a video of one drill that quickly went viral, surpassing one million views. The clip sparked a wide range of interpretations and debates about what exactly Allar was working on during the session.
Daylen Everette remarked that he has long studied Joey Porter Jr., tracing that interest back to Porter’s collegiate career at Penn State, and has followed Jalen Ramsey since his own early years. He emphasized that, at this stage of his development, his priority is to absorb as much information as possible as he acclimates to the professional level.
Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers was reportedly in Pittsburgh this week, but he did not meet with the team at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, leaving his status with the organization in continued limbo.
