Blake Miller - The Heart Of Clemson's Offense

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has every reason to feel optimistic about 2025, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

In addition to the return of Cade Klubnik for his senior season—arguably one of college football’s top quarterbacks—the Tigers boast an impressive 86% of their offensive production returning, the highest percentage in the nation.

Their offensive roster is as talent-rich as it gets. The receiving unit, led by Bryant Wesco Jr. and Antonio Williams, has the potential to be one of the nation's best. In the backfield, freshman Gideon Davidson is poised to be a breakout star. However, among all the position groups, the true strength lies within the offensive line—anchored by one of college football's elite players.

Had circumstances been different, senior Blake Miller could have been headed to the NFL. Yet, in March, Miller made the decision to return to Clemson with one goal in mind: winning a national championship. Considering all he has achieved with the Tigers, anything less would seem like a disappointment.

To call him the foundation of Clemson’s offensive line would be an understatement. Since his freshman year, Miller has played an astonishing 2,893 offensive snaps across 41 career starts. His 2024 campaign may have been his most dominant, surrendering zero sacks while allowing just one quarterback hit and committing only a single penalty on 485 pass-blocking snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

At present, the Tigers have the roster necessary not only to secure a spot in the College Football Playoffs but also to make a legitimate championship run.

As for Miller, he may very well be remembered as one of the most important offensive linemen in the program’s history—second only to the legendary Joe Bostic. If you were to ask him, though, he’d simply settle for being a national champion.
