2025 Steelers Week 4 Fantasy Football Recap - Metcalf And Herbig Make Big Moves Upwards

ree

The Pittsburgh Steelers certainly have a flair for the dramatic, but in their 24–21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, Ireland, they delivered their most complete performance of the season. Throughout the game, several individuals stood out on both sides of the ball. However, it was the Steelers’ defense that once again set the tone for the second consecutive week, making significant strides in the process.

Defensive Fantasy Movers -

When it comes to big-play ability, few units in the NFL rival the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense. In their win over the Vikings, the Steelers showcased multiple defensive fronts and made life difficult for quarterback Carson Wentz. By the end of the contest, they had tallied six sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and seven passes defended.

  • Patrick Queen continued his strong campaign with 11 tackles (three for loss) and a sack. As a result, he climbed 13 spots to LB15 with 38.3 fantasy points—one of the team's biggest movers.

  • Payton Wilson arguably had the most dominant presence on the field, recording 13 tackles, including a game-saving stop where he reached a blazing 22.48 mph—the fastest speed recorded by a linebacker in the Next Gen Stats era. He also added two

tackles for loss and a quarterback hit, earning a four-spot rise to LB14 with 38.3 points.

  • T.J. Watt, the All-Pro linebacker, was his usual disruptive self, finishing with five tackles, a sack, an interception, and a pass deflection. After a slow start in Weeks 1 and 2, Watt is climbing the value charts, moving up seven spots to LB05 with 43.0 points.

  • In the absence of Alex Highsmith, EDGE rusher Nick Herbig seized the opportunity and emerged as a top-tier pass rusher. He posted five tackles, 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hits, and three pressures. Herbig jumped 13 spots to LB28 with 32.7 points.

  • Among the defensive backs, DeShon Elliott was the standout performer. Despite recent inactivity due to injury, Elliott delivered a complete performance with six tackles, a sack, an interception, and two quarterback hits. He surged into the top 100, landing at DB49 with 23.3 points.

Offensive Fantasy Movers -

Without question, the offensive MVP for the Steelers was Pro Bowl wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. In the second quarter, he delivered the team’s biggest play of the season—an electrifying 80-yard catch-and-run touchdown. By halftime, Metcalf had already amassed 122 receiving yards, validating the front office’s decision to invest in him this offseason. He jumped 15 spots to WR17 with 59.1 fantasy points.

Kenneth Gainwell stepped up in the absence of starter Jaylen Warren, delivering a career-best performance with 99 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 35 receiving yards on six receptions. He moved up 10 spots to RB19 with 52.9 points. Meanwhile, Warren dropped 15 spots to RB27 with 44.4 points due to his injury-related absence.

  • Aaron Rodgers started strong but cooled off in the second half. Still, he made key plays when needed, finishing with 200 passing yards and one touchdown. He dropped six spots to QB17 with 60.5 points.

  • Rookie Kaleb Johnson had his best outing to date, recording 22 rushing yards on six carries. He enters the rankings at RB88 with 2.1 points.
