Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Jack and Freiermuth On The Rise

After booming in Week 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers took a big step backwards following their mediocre showing in their Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots.
Even with this, a few Steelers increased their value with their performance on the field. One such person was veteran linebacker Myles Jack, who is currently tied for 16th among linebackers in fantasy points with 29.5, according to FantasyPros.com. In their loss to the Patriots, Jack recorded 13 total tackles, five of them solo.
Despite not recording any sacks in Week 2, linebacker Alex Highsmith remains near the top in fantasy points among linebackers with 39.3. The only player ahead of him in this category is Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Devin White, who holds 51.3 fantasy points.
Minkah Fitzpatrick continues to make his case as the top safety in the league, as he currently sits second among defensive backs with 43 fantasy points. In Week 2, Fitzpatrick recorded his second straight interception, along with 10 total tackles and a pass deflected.
A name that has been going strong in the fantasy ranks is second-year tight end Pat Freiermuth. With a recorded touchdown reception in Week 2, Freiermuth sits eighth among tight ends with 15.7 fantasy points.
Other notable mentions include receiver Diontae Johnson, who sits at the 41st position among receivers with 13.2 fantasy points, and defensive lineman Cam Heyward, who continues to stay strong with 21.0 fantasy points.
