Week 14 Fantasy Football Recap: Freiermuth's Stock On The Rise

As of this week, Pat Freiermuth is the second-highest graded tight end, according to Pro Football Focus. This season, Freiermuth has been arguably the Pittsburgh Steelers' most reliable target. In their loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Freiermuth registered 33 receiving yards and a touchdown. With his efforts in mind, Freiermuth moved up three spots this week to the No. 6 tight end with 75.0 fantasy points on fantasypros.com's leaderboard.
A player to watch is rookie tight end Connor Heyward. All though he's received a minimal amount of targets this season, he's taken advantage of all of them in a big way. He currently sits 57th among tight ends with 11.8 fantasy points.
Rookie George Pickens was only targeted three times against the Ravens, but each of them resulted in big-time catches, as he finished with 78 yards, averaging 26 yards per reception. With his stock continuously on the rise, he moved up to No. 38 with 81.4 fantasy points. Fellow receiver Diontae Johnson also had a strong showing against the Ravens, leading the team with 82 receiving yards on four receptions. As of this week, Johnson is currently 49th among receivers with 69 fantasy points.
On defense, All-Pro linebacker TJ Watt recorded his first sack since Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals. With his performance this past Sunday, Watt moved up to the 75th spot among linebackers with 73.8. After failing to record a sack this past week, Alex Highsmith moved down to the 40th spot among linebackers with 134 fantasy points.
Despite not recording a sack against the Ravens, veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward is staying strong at No. 18 among defensive linemen with 112.1 fantasy points. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who led the defense with 11 tackles, moved up to 18th among defensive backs with 129.2 fantasy points. Lastly, cornerback Cam Sutton, who recorded his team-leading 11th pass defensed on Sunday, currently sits 114th with 77.1 fantasy points.
