Week 13 Fantasy Football Recap: Fitzpatrick Makes His Move Up The Charts





Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick's game-winning interception against the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday helped seal a second straight win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fitzpatrick himself had a productive game that included seven tackles, a pass defensed, and a passer rating allowed of just 47.2.


As a result of his performance, Fitzpatrick moved up 8 spots to 22nd among defensive backs with 116.4 fantasy points, according to fantasypros.com. Cornerback Cameron Sutton, who was instrumental in their win, currently sits 114th with 72.6 fantasy points. Cornerback Levi Wallace failed to record a pass defensed on Sunday for the first time since Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins. He moved down to the 104th spot with 76.8 fantasy points.


On the defensive line, veteran Cam Heyward continues to prove his value each time he is on the field. After recording a sack, a pass defensed, and four tackles against the Falcons, Heyward moved up four spots to 21st among defensive linemen with 105.3 fantasy points.


With the Steelers' run offense gaining momentum each week, backup Benny Snell Jr.'s contributions against the Falcons allowed him to move up to the 86th spot among running backs with 16.3 fantasy points. As for starting running back Najee Harris, he remains at No. 20 with 116.1 fantasy points.


Tight end Pat Freiermuth is quickly becoming one of the most efficient and reliable pass catchers in the NFL. This past Sunday, he led all Steelers pass catchers with 76 receiving yards while averaging 25.3 yards per reception. As a result, Freiermuth moved up to the 9th spot among tight ends with 65.7 fantasy points.


Under rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, the Steelers offense has not allowed a turnover in four straight games, which is a franchise record. Pickett himself continues to evolve with each game he plays. Against the Falcons, he registered his highest quarterback rating of the season so far (90.9). In the fantasy world, Pickett remains 27th among quarterbacks with 118.9 fantasy points.
