Week 12 Fantasy Football Recap: Pickens Stock Continues To Rise





With each passing week, rookie receiver George Pickens continues to impress with his ability to make difficult and timely catches. In their 24-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts, Pickens registered 57 yards on three receptions, including a successful 2-point conversion reception late in the contest. In fantasypros.com's latest standings, Pickens moved up to the 36th spot among receivers with 73.4 fantasy points.


Speaking of standouts, backup running back Benny Snell Jr. came in relief of injured starter Najee Harris and led his team with 62 rushing yards on 12 carries and the key touchdown late in the game. As a result, Snell Jr. is making his first appearance at the 93rd spot among running backs with 12.8 fantasy points. As for Harris, he recorded his third touchdown in two games and is sitting pretty at No. 20 with 106.9 fantasy points.


As for rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, his maturation was on full display against the Colts on Monday night. He would finish the game with 174 passing yards and the highest passer rating of his young career (87.5). Following his performance, Pickett moved up to the 27th spot among quarterbacks with 105.6 fantasy points.


On defense, pass rusher Alex Highsmith registered his 10th sack of the season and moved up to the 29th spot among linebackers with 129.5 fantasy points to lead all players on the Steelers roster. Fellow linebacker TJ Watt has not yet made his usual splash but has moved up to the 84th spot with 56.8 fantasy points.


The biggest mover once again was cornerback Levi Wallace. For the third straight game, Wallace registered multiple passes defenses and is among the NFL leaders in this category. For his performance this week, Wallace moved up 14 spots to No. 103 among defensive backs with 92.8 fantasy points. Defensive back Arthur Maulet, who made a big splash with 10 tackles and a sack against the Colts, now sits 108th with 69.1 fantasy points.


Lastly, veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward moved up to the 25th spot among defensive linemen with 92.8 fantasy points, while safety Minkah Fitzpatrick sits at No. 43 among defensive backs with 98.4 fantasy points.
