The Steelers Could Have A Healthy Amount Of Players Back For Sunday

In his weekly press conference, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin noted the possibility of having everyone outside the team's injured reserve list available to play in their pivotal weekend game against the Tennessee Titans.

The potential returnees mentioned were defensive tackle Carlos Davis, defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs, linebacker T.J. Watt, linebacker Alex Highsmith, veteran cornerback Joe Haden, and offensive tackle Joe Haeg, who came off the team's Reserve/COVID list.

Also mentioned was linebacker Robert Spillane, who suffered a knee injury during the first half of their Week 12 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Even with his return, Tomlin expressed that he was open to the possibility of giving rookie Buddy Johnson more snaps on defense.

Tomlin noted that the team would be practicing in pads on Wednesday, as they did the week following their loss to the Bengals.

The Steelers are currently at the bottom of the AFC North with a record of 6-6-1. A win this weekend against the Titans could keep their playoff hopes alive.
