T.J. Watt Likely To Hit Double-Digit Sack This Weekend

It seems that with each game veteran pass rusher T.J. Watt plays, he sets a higher standard of greatness at this position.

This season has been no different, as he currently tied for second in the NFL with 9.5. heading into this weekend's game, Watt has an opportunity to record his fifth double-digit sack season in just seven seasons. In addition to his sack total, Watt leads the team in tackles for loss (8) and quarterback hits (18).

From this point, his next milestone will be 100, for which he only needs 12 sacks to accomplish this feat. Watt is already the team's all-time sack leader and has already established himself as one of the most productive and consistent players in franchise history.

The Steelers selected Watt with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since joining the team, Watt has been widely regarded as one of the premier players in the NFL. In 2021, he was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year after tying the all-time single-season sack record set by Michael Strahan with 22.5.
