Steelers Kevin Dotson Set To Return This Week

Updated: Dec 21, 2021

The Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive line could see themselves at full strength for their pivotal game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Boxing Day.

During his weekly press conference Tuesday afternoon, head coach Mike Tomlin announced they would be reactivating offensive lineman Kevin Dotson from the injured reserve list. At that point, Dotson would start his 21-day practice clock this week.

Dotson has been on injury reserve since sustaining an ankle injury on November 14th against the Detroit Lions. In his absence, several offensive linemen on the roster have started in his place, including current starter, John Leglue.

Dotson has played 565 offensive snaps this season and has allowed only three sacks while committing only five penalties. His overall grade of 64.1, according to Pro Football Focus, ranks second among Steelers offensive linemen, behind veteran Trai Turner.
