Steelers Injury Report - T.J Watt Unable To Practice On Thursday

For the Steelers, health will play a big factor in their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Prior to Thursday, the Steelers were seemingly a healthy group, with many players returning from various injuries. Today, however, there were major setbacks for key players on the roster.

As reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt did not participate in today's session due to a heel injury. The belief is that Watt may have sustained his injury during yesterday's padded practice.

In addition to Watt, tight end Pat Freiermuth's progress took a big step back after being limited in today's practice. As in the case of Watt, Freiermuth's latest status could have been the result of Wednesday's practice.

If Watt is unable to play, his snaps could be shared between veteran Markus Golden and rookie Nick Herbig, who practiced in limited capacity today due to a quad injury.

The Steelers lifetime is 62-28-2 when Watt plays. His absence could mean that the Rams could devote much of their attention to neutralizing Alex Highsmith. Tomorrow should determine the status of both players leading into Sunday.
