Steelers Injury Report: Highsmith Added To The List

With their contest with the Baltimore Ravens only a few days away, the list of injured Steelers players continues to increase.
The latest is starting edge rusher Alex Highsmith, who did not participate in today's practice session due to a groin injury. With one more practice day remaining, it may come down to game day, when his true status is revealed.
If he is unable to go on Sunday, either veteran Markus Golden or rookie Nick Herbig could take his place. Per SteelersNow.com, Herbig took first-team snaps at outside linebacker. Despite having solid backup options, one should expect the Ravens to use much of their blocking resources to neutralize All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt.
Highsmith has been an essential part of the Steelers defensive line, which has accumulated 13 sacks and eight forced fumbles this season. Highsmith himself has 17 tackles, one sack, seven QB hits, an interception, a forced fumble, and a defensive touchdown.
