Rudolph To Remain The Starter Heading Into Week 17

The topic that was on everyone's mind during today's press conference with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was who would start for the team in their next game against Seattle.

In typical Tomlin fashion, he did not directly name the starter at first, but eventually, it was understood by all those in attendance that Mason Rudolph would remain the starter.

“I’m not into hypotheticals,” Tomlin said. “Mason Rudolph has the ball as we stand here today.”

Kenny Pickett's situation for this week is still unclear as of right now. Pickett made a limited comeback to practice last week, but it's likely that his restricted mobility kept him out of last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Even with this, Rudolph showed this past Saturday that he is fully capable of leading offense, following the best performance for a Steelers quarterback in resent memory.
