Hines Ward Joins the Florida Atlantic Coaching Staff

Former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward is now a member of the Florida Atlantic coaching staff.
According to ESPN senior college football writer Adam Rittenberg, Ward will be joining the Florida Atlantic program under Willie Taggart in an "off-field coaching role” alongside current wide receivers coach Joey Thomas.
His presence should have an impact on a group that combined for 1,300 yards. Their leading receiver, TJ Chase, registered only 334 yards.
In 2017, Ward worked as an offensive intern with the Steelers, before becoming a full-time offensive assistant with the New York Jets organization. As a player, Ward is the Steelers all-time leader in receiving yards (12,083) and receptions (1000), while being selected to the Pro Bowl four times from 2001-2004; and earning Second-team All-Pro honors times. He was named Super Bowl XL MVP for his performance against the Seattle Seahawks.
