Weaknesses:

As proficient as Tyson is on intermediate and deep routes, the same cannot be said for his work on short and quick concepts, where he has shown a tendency to make avoidable drops. These issues may stem from lapses in concentration in tight areas or from attempting to transition upfield before fully securing the football. Improving his focus and consistency in these situations will be essential for maximizing his reliability as a chain‑mover.

While Tyson’s 6'2" frame is certainly appealing from a measurables standpoint, he currently lacks the functional strength required to consistently handle more physical defensive backs. As a result, he can be displaced at the top of routes or struggle to finish through contact. Adding muscle mass and developing greater play strength will be important steps in allowing him to win more frequently on the perimeter and compete at an NFL level.

During his collegiate career, Tyson sustained two significant injuries: a multi‑ligament knee injury involving the ACL, MCL, and PCL in 2022 while at Colorado, followed by a hamstring issue and a season‑ending collarbone injury this past year. These setbacks raise legitimate concerns about his long‑term durability, particularly for teams evaluating his ability to withstand the physical demands of the NFL.
