Strengths:

  • Elite size and frame

  • Possesses brute strength

  • Good overall athleticism for his size

  • Explosive and quick first step

  • Passionate about getting to the quarterback

  • High-level awareness and IQ

  • Able to disengage quickly from blocks using his hands

  • Physically imposing

  • Uses his heavy hands effectively to control blockers

  • Anchors effectively at the line of scrimmage

  • Moves quickly in short areas

  • Exceptional at taking on double teams

  • Able to play at multiple spots along the line of scrimmage

Weaknesses:

As a pass rusher, Williams possesses a limited arsenal of moves, primarily relying on the swim and rip techniques. When his initial pass rush fails, he lacks the counter moves needed to consistently win.

Although he is proficient at disengaging from opposing offensive linemen using his hands, Williams needs to improve his ability to extend and create the separation necessary to consistently make plays. Part of this issue is attributed to his minimal arm length.

Regarding pad level, Williams often stands upright, which can diminish the effectiveness of his bull rush. While there has been some improvement, he continues to struggle with consistency in this aspect.
