2024 Steelers Week 11 Fantasy Football Recap - Boswell Is No.1.. Again!

All Stats Courtesy Of: Fantasydata.com

Did Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell establish himself as the NFL's top kicker with his performance against the Baltimore Ravens yesterday?

For the second time this season, Boswell registered six field goals in a game, the first being in their Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons. What makes this even more impressive is that four of his six field goals were from 50 yards or more. After this colossal performance, Boswell has again taken the No. 1 spot among all kickers with 125.0 fantasy points. To say the least, he is worth having on your fantasy team.

- Offense -

In general, the Steelers' offense had a tough time generating points against a tough Ravens defense. However, if there was one player who had no issues making plays, it was receiver George Pickens. With 89 receiving yards on eight receptions, Pickens moved into the top 3 in total receiving yards among receivers in the NFL. In the fantasy world, Pickens moved up only two spots to No. 17 with 130.2 fantasy points. The only other pass catcher worth mentioning is tight end Darnell Washington, who registered 42 yards on just two receptions. He moved up to No. 40 among players at his position with 36.8 fantasy points.

On the ground, running back Najee Harris finished with a respectable 63 rushing yards but added 30 receiving yards on four receptions. For his efforts, he moved up two spots to No. 22 among running backs with 128.0 fantasy points. Backup Jaylen Warren had his moments but finished with just 41 rushing yards and 27 receiving yards. Though it may not seem like much, he moved up 10 spots to No. 48 with 54.1 fantasy points.

- Defense -

The story on defense was linebacker Patrick Queen. On Sunday, Queen was all over the field making plays; one could say he was well motivated to prove his former team wrong for letting him go in the offseason. He finished the game with 10 tackles (one of them for a loss), a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. For his performance, Queen moved up 13 spots to No. 13 among linebackers with 69.0 fantasy points.

Queen wasn't the only standout linebacker yesterday. All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt rose three spots to No. 3 at his position with 103.2 fantasy points after registering a sack, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits. Rookie Payton Wilson dazzled with a spectacular interception of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in the fourth quarter, along with two tackles. For his efforts, he moved to No. 94 among players at his position with 40.0 fantasy points. Expect his value to keep rising in the upcoming weeks.

On the defensive line, veteran Cameron Heyward continues to be an ageless wonder on the field. In their win over the Ravens, Heyward was a force, finishing with four tackles, a quarterback hit, and two pass deflections. Despite a great showing, he only moved up two spots to No. 11 among defensive linemen with 71.0 fantasy points. Keeanu Benton, who left late in the game with a knee injury, moved up four spots to No. 95 with 29.5 fantasy points after registering three tackles.

In the secondary, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was arguably their most valuable player. In addition to recording two pass deflections and completely shutting out the Ravens' receivers, he made the game-winning play that prevented the Ravens' 2-point conversion. Though he has not been a fantasy darling for much of the season, he landed this week at No. 100 among defensive backs with 43.0 fantasy points. At No. 66 among defensive backs is All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (up nine spots) after recording seven tackles. Safety DeShon Elliott remains at No. 9 among defensive backs with 77.0 fantasy points after registering two tackles, a fumble recovery, and a quarterback hit.
