At first glance, he may not look the part, but Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Nick Herbig was one of the most productive and efficient pass rushers in this year's Draft class.

According to Fantasypros.com, Herbig registered the highest sack rate (6.7%) and the third highest pressure rate (20%) among pass rushers in the 2023 NFL Draft class.

With the ability to play off-ball and on the edge, Herbig has proven his ability to affect the game in multiple stops, making him the type of player who is more valuable than his draft position.

In ESPN's 2023 NFL roster rankings, Herbig was listed as the Steelers "non-starter to know" due to his potential for production stemming from his junior year with the Wisconsin Badgers, as noted by analyst Seth Walder.

" At Wisconsin last season, Herbig had 11 sacks along with strong pressure rates. That production gave him the 10th-highest sack projection in the entire 2023 draft class, according to my model, despite being a fourth-round pick."

No matter where he is positioned, fans should expect to see Herbig make his presence felt this preseason. Surrounded by excellent mentors, such as All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt, Herbig's should grow in knowledge and adapt quickly enough to make an impact on the field.
