Strengths:

  • Elite vertical speed

  • Speed has second gear

  • Excellent at changing directions quickly

  • Able to sink his hips and accelerate

  • Quick, light feet

  • Eats up cushions in off-man coverage

  • Natural, soft hands

  • Plans his route pre-snaps

  • High football IQ

  • Can create separation in short area

  • Active and willing blocker

Weaknesses:

His biggest concern with Hyatt is his ability to handle opposing defensive backs in press coverage. With a long, slender frame, his play strength is questionable. Hyatt's route tree is somewhat limited as he specializes mainly in running vertical routes with some slants. Limitations with his route tree could potentially hinder his production at the next level. With the right coaching, he should look to diversify his route tree. In one-on-one situations, Hyatt needs to be more physical in order to make more contested catches; play strength development will be key to his success at the next level.
