Weaknesses:

A considerable amount of work is needed for Sewell in relation to his overall coverage skills. He is often slow in diagnosing and processing pass/run plays. For this reason, he is susceptible to being fooled by playaction sequences and can be a liability in these cases in open space. When blitzing from the edge, Sewell has a tendency to take wide angles, resulting in him getting pushed off the arc. When engaging with ball carriers, Sewell's pad level is generally too high, which needs to be addressed quickly if he wishes to be a more effective run-stopper.
