The scene at Latrobe Memorial Stadium this afternoon was a festive one, as a capacity crowd filled the stands to see the Pittsburgh Steelers in action. Considering the annual "Friday Night Lights" event was cancelled this past week due to inclement weather, the atmosphere this afternoon had a very similar feel, as the players signed autographs and interacted with fans prior to the beginning of their session.
With this in mind, it also presented a few training camp storylines: a rookie defensive lineman has a big day; another defensive lineman makes a big impression in his debut; and a rookie receiver's "intense" practice.
So Steelers fans, let's go!
Camp Injury/Participation Report:

Prior to the start of practice, the Steelers announced the return of veteran defensive lineman Tyson Alualu from the team's active/PUP List.
Tight End Pat Freiermuth was also seen in pads for the first time since being sidelined for much of Week 2.
Running back Najee Harris was not in pads but was seen working with running back coach Eddie Faulkner before the beginning of practice. It was later reported that Harris was wearing shoulder pads but no thigh pads, per Steelers beat writer Dale Lolley.
Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was a full participant in today's practice, as he was active in one-on-ones and team drills, according to reports.
Towards the end of today's practice, Lolley reported that linebacker Alex Highsmith was seen with ice on his oblique. Linebacker Genary Avery did not finish practice due to a groin injury.
Camp Notes And Highlights:
DeMarvin Leal Dominates On Defense
Rookie defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal was the star of today's practice. In addition to going 5-0 in one-on-ones, per Steelers analyst Nick Farabaugh, Leal recorded a sack on QB Mason Rudolph and was making multiple plays during team drills. If anything can be said, the depth of the Steelers' defense line shone in a big way today, led by Leal.
Benny Snell Jr. In Full Effect
After other running backs such as Jaylen Warren and Anthony McFarland Jr. received much of the attention last week, Benny Snell Jr. started Week 3 with a bang, as he made a big impression in one-on-ones but especially during team drills where he pulled off big runs. In this one, he added an exclamation to it.

Larry Ogunjobi Makes An Impression
After not partaking in any of the team or one-on-one drills for several days, defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was a full participant in today's practice and made a huge impression. In addition to dominating offensive lineman Mason Cole, he also recorded a tackle during team drills. He and Leal were both standouts on the defensive line.
George Pickens "Intense" Day
Rookie receiver George Pickens was more animated than usual. As described by Sports Director of 93.7 The Fan Jeff Hathhorn, Pickens accounted for four receptions, two of which were combat catches. Then he delivered a heated message to safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who he and others gave grief for missing a route.
Buddy Johnson Shows Off His Coverage Skills
Through two weeks of training camp, little has been said about second-year linebacker Buddy Johnson. During one-on-one coverage drills, Johnson registered three pass breakups in the session. Johnson has quietly been one of the better interior linebackers in pass coverage at camp.
