At the moment, Willis is still a raw prospect who can be too reliant on his athleticism to get him out of difficult situations. Part of this involves holding on to the ball too long when he is under duress; this makes him susceptible to taking unnecessary sacks. Admittedly, Willis has issues recognizing coverages pre-snap and reading defenses while going through progressions. As gifted as he is at throwing the football, he is slightly inconsistent with his ball placement on his deep passes or moving off-platform.
