Class: Junior Height: 6-3

Weight: 320 lbs Projected Round: 2nd - 4th round

Strengths:

  • Versatile - plays both guard and center

  • Active, violent hands - Excellent hand fighting skills

  • Possesses the type of strength that can overwhelm opposing linemen

  • Explosive when engaging after snap (at center)

  • Active feet

  • Excellent at keeping his pad level low

  • Very aggressive at the point of attack

  • Good hips and lateral movement

  • Consistently maintains a good base - balanced

  • Does a reasonably good job dropping anchor

  • Physical at all points in one-on-one battles

  • Excellent mobility - able to reach the second level quickly (at guard)

  • Good spatial awareness

  • Moves relatively well in short areas

Weaknesses:

When engaging against opposing linemen, Meinerz has a tendency of overcommitting his hips, instead of staying square; this has shown to have noticeable effects on his ability to stay balanced. In addition, Meinerz will sometimes lean forward, which can affect his base; needs to do better job bending at the knees. Though Meinerz can play at the guard position, he seemingly wins more battles as a center.
