Strengths:


Shenault Jr. is a big, physical receiver, who possesses an ideal combination of finesse and toughness to his overall game. Shenault Jr.'s speed is deceptive in the sense that it may not look impressive at first view, but it is extremely effective, most notably against defensive backs on the outside. Very versatile, Shenault Jr. is able to play at multiple spots on the line. As a receiver, he possesses strong, reliable hands, able to make combat catches. His boundary play is impressive, able to use his physicality effectively in this manner. Before releasing off the line, he does a good job assessing an opposing defender's alignment, and planning his attack. While stemming, Shenault Jr. effectively uses his speed to stack defenders; capable of drawing holding calls in this manner. With his ability to be used in tunnel screens or at wildcat, Shenault can produce is a multitude of ways.




Weaknesses:


For Shenault, separation on the outside is seemingly an issue. When attacking from the slot or at the 'z' spot, the quality of separation is much better than from the 'x' spot. As a blocker, he has improved somewhat, but still needs to work sustaining his blocks more effectively. From the line, Shenault Jr. is not overly explosive, and lacks variety in his releases off the line, which can him somewhat predictable. Needs work on sharpening his breakouts when reaching the top of his routes.
