Name: Colby Parkinson
Position: Tight End
Uniform Number: #84
Weight: 251 lbs
At 6'7, Parkinson possesses tremendous size and length, which he uses effectively when making catches on shorter or intermediate route. One of his major attributes is his versatility, as he able to line up either in his traditional spot, at slot, or on the outside. He does a good job securing the ball after a catch with few drops. Parkinson is a tough, durable tight end that is adept at making combat catches, even if it means absorbing a hit at the end of it. As a blocker, he is a physical in-line blocker, who is able to use the proper pad level when trying to seal opposing defenders.
Parkinson's overall route running lacks fluidity. When coming off the line, he is predictable with his releases, and opposing defenders have little issues gaining leverage on him when steaming. His route tree is limited to seams, outs, and comebacks. With these routes noted, he has issues consistently gaining separation before breaking at the top of his route. Parkinson is an effective in-line blocker, but has issues blocking from angles.
