Player Description:

Name: Tuanigamanuolepola Tagovailoa

Position: Quarterback

College: Alabama

Uniform Number: #13

Class: Junior

Height: 6'0

Weight: 217 lbs

Strengths:

Tagovailoa is a highly-proficient, efficient, and mobile quarterback, who specializes in dissecting opposing defenses using RPOs, to expose openings in the middle portions of the field or boundary. Near-flawless accuracy on short or intermediate routes, while employing excellent timing and ball placement. Excellent at reading pre-snap coverages, with the ability to execute his plan post-snap. Displays excellent poise and composure in the pocket; rarely gets rattled when facing pressure while going through his read progressions. Elusive, Tagovailoa possesses the type of agility to make defenders miss and extend plays. Excellent improvisation skills, had demonstrated on many occasions, the ability in making spur-of-the-moment plays in unexpected ways.

Weaknesses:

Consistency in his deep ball accuracy is questionable. On deep throws, his balls have the tendency of getting too much air, rather than a focus on ball placement. With a noted tendency of exposing the ball with one hand at times, ball security is an issue. Though he is mobile, he does not have the speed to consistently outrun defenders who chase him out of the pocket; his persistence in these cases results in taking unnecessary hits, which have resulted in various injuries.
