Name: Jake Fromm
Uniform Number: #11
Weight: 220 lbs
Fromm is a structured pro-style quarterback, who is adept at breaking down opposing defenses with simple but effective completions. As a passer, Fromm has consistently demonstrated his ability to make the proper reads, and deliver passes to his receivers on short or intermediate routes with minimal risk of turnovers. When pressured, he displays
patience and poise while going through his progressions. One of his major strengths is his ball placement abilities, notably on crossing routes and corner routes in the end zone; in these instances, his accuracy is well-displayed. Methodical in his approach, Fromm employs excellent pre-snap work which is the trademark of a professional at his position.
Despite some improvements, Fromm's arm strength remains an area of concern, especially on deep balls. On shorter routes, he lacks the velocity needed to consistently throw through tight windows. Fromm comes with many physical limitations. For instance, as a runner, Fromm has minimal mobility and does not possess much speed or lateral movement, the few times he has taken the initiative to run with the ball. His structured approach can be perceived as passive when it comes to attacking opposing defenses; the aggressive instinct needed to effectively push the ball downfield is missing in his overall game.
