Updated: Nov 14, 2020

Player Description:
Name: Marvin Wilson
Position: Defensive Line
College: Florida State
Uniform Number: #21
Class: Junior
Height: 6'5
Weight: 311 lbs
Strengths:
Large and physically imposing specimen, who possesses natural functional strength. Wilson has rarely lost one-on-one battles against opposing offensive lineman, and has displayed his ability to take on double teams. For his size, Wilson carries and excellent motor, often not giving up on plays and willing to run down the field to make tackles. His hands are very active and has made strides in developing more pass rush moves since his freshman year. Wilson uses his size effectively to clog lanes and finish plays when the opportunity is presented. Has demonstrated the ability to consistently get pentration when aligned in 0-technique and 3-technique.

Weaknesses:
Pad level is a major concern, as Wilson has the tendency of standing upright when coming off the line; in extension, balance becomes an issue when attempts to use his upper body to win one-on-one battles. Despite his versatility, he can be a liability when aligned in 5-technique, as he lacks the speed, flexibility and burst when coming off the line. His issues with length makes it difficult for him to disengage from blocks to get a more consistent pass rush.
