Player Description:

Name: K'Von Wallace Position: Defensive Back College: Clemson Uniform Number: #12 Class: Senior Height: 5'11 Weight: 205 lbs

Strengths:

Wallace is a compact, rugged defensive back, able to play at multiple spots. As a tackler, Wallace is aggressive, willing to engage consistently. Arguably his greatest strength is his closing speed, and has shown the ability to close the gap quickly on a ball carrier within a few strides. In terms of man coverage, Wallace has fluid hips and speed to shadow receivers in shallow areas. His ball skills dramatically improved in contrast to his junior season, as he has demonstrated more patience and the ability to detect various routes and quarterback tactics; led his team in pass breakups this past season. Possesses natural strength, able to fight off blocks and make plays.

Weaknesses:

Wallace's coverage skills is limited to shallow areas. In one-on-one situation, he is susceptible to getting beaten over the top, due lack of length and questionable vertical speed. When coming downhill, he had the tendency of taking angles, resulting in missed tackles. Let many turnover opportunities out on the field due to some misreads or drops.
